One person was taken to the hospital after a pair of men drove vehicles into a group of people gathered Saturday night at a rural property between Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park, Sonoma County sheriff's officials said.

About 75 to 100 people were celebrating a birthday just after 9:30 p.m. on Millbrae Avenue, between Whistler and Langner avenues, when two men apparently became upset with other partygoers, said Sonoma County Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Lucas.

The men got into their vehicles — a Toyota pickup and a small SUV — and drove them into a group of people who were standing outside. One person was run over and taken to a local hospital with a reported leg injury, Lucas said. Two more were sideswiped. Lucas said none of the injuries was considered serious.

Lucas said both suspect vehicles and one of the suspects had been located as of about 10:30 p.m.

No other information was immediately available.
