SEBASTOPOL: Holiday home tour and crafts boutique
The Sebastopol Holiday Home Tour and Craft Boutique Dec. 14 and 15 is a celebration of family histories and traditions.
Each of the five homes included on this year's tour show off the owner's collections, special holiday heirlooms and Christmas traditions.
Ticketholders can visit a contemporary home in the redwoods that is a museum of “dangerous holiday toys,” vintage baseball memorabilia, antique Santa molds and Patrick Amiot sculptures. There's also a crafter's dream home and studio, a Craftsman-style house with antiques and landscape painting, a modern Tuscan-inspired home with artist-quality quilts, an equestrian estate and a 1964 travel trailer done up in retro holiday style.
The tour raises funds for the scholarship program at Pleasant Hill Christian School. The fund honors Jacob Cochran, a loveable carrot-topped Sebastopol boy born with a rare genetic disorder who died in 1998 at the age of 11.
The home tour will be held Saturday, Dec. 14. But on both Saturday and Sunday the public can shop an artisan boutique set up in Pleasant Hill's 1909 schoolhouse, situated at 1782 Pleasant Hill Road at Watertrough, on the way to many of Sebastopol's Christmas tree farms.
There is no admission to the boutique, which will offer a wide range of items, from wine-barrel furniture to natural body products, fiber arts, ceramic wall hangings and cards to photography.
Tickets are $35 for the home tour. For tickets or information, call 829-1729, email firstname.lastname@example.org, visit sebastopolholidayhometour.weebly.com or check them out on Facebook at facebook.com/SebastopolHolidayHomeTour.
