Robert H. Fish, who once headed St. Joseph Health System’s operations in Sonoma County, was appointed CEO on Wednesday of a Southern California health care company with 96 long-term care and assisted living facilities in 11 states.
Skilled Healthcare Group appointed Fish to replace Boyd W. Hendrickson, who is retiring as CEO of the Foothill Ranch company.
The company, whose stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange, has 15,000 employees and is on track to generate $864 million in revenues this year.
Fish served as president and CEO of St. Joseph Health System in Sonoma County in the late 1990s. From 2008 to 2012 he served as chairman of REACH Medical Holdings, a Santa Rosa-based air medical transport company. In between, he served as CEO of Genesis Health Ventures, a long-term care and institutional pharmacy company, and executive chairman of Coram Inc., a large home infusion provider.
