A bicyclist seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a crash with an SUV was a Santa Rosa woman, police said Monday.

Alissa Woosley, 20, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with an apparent broken leg after the 3:30 p.m. crash.

Witnesses said the young woman had attempted to ride across Mendocino Avenue in a crosswalk near Santa Rosa Junior College when the light went against her and traffic began to flow.

The SUV driver was Dylan Gerard, 17, of Upper Lake. He reported that he got the green light and began to drive, not seeing her until it was too late.

Santa Rosa traffic Sgt. Brad Conners Monday said the crash remained under review and details weren't available.

Conners said alcohol or drugs don't appear to be a factor in the incident.
