  • Donna Farrugia, chief executive officer of the Nelson Family of Companies

Donna Farrugia has been appointed chief executive officer of the Nelson Family of Companies, a staffing company based in Sonoma. Previously, she served as executive director of Robert Half's The Creative Group. Before that, she worked as a senior vice president at Robert Half International and global services marketing manager for 3M.

Cynthia Negri has been named executive vice president and chief lending officer at Redwood Credit Union. She has been with the credit union for more than 16 years, most recently serving as senior vice president of retail lending.

Denise Laws has been named director of clinical practice, education and informatics at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa. She has more than 25 years of clinical experience in Kaiser Permanente with a major focus on adults with acute and chronic illnesses.

Stephen Brescia has moved from Century 21 Alliance to join his wife, Rafaela Morillas, at RE/MAX Leading Edge in Oakmont. The two real estate agents, who recently sold their home staging business, Staged Right, work together as a team.

Deborah Magee, a nurse practitioner with Northern California Medical Associates in Santa Rosa, has been named president-elect of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners North Bay board of directors.

Ryan McKillop has joined Beels Soper LLP, a full-service accounting firm, as a manager in its Petaluma office. He began his career with Moss Adams LLP in Santa Rosa, where he spent eight years focused on audit and assurance needs of small to mid-sized companies.

John Brenes has been named manager of the new BevMo! store in Petaluma. Kate Price is assistant store manager. The store is located in the East Washington Place shopping center at 401 Kenilworth Dr.

Women's Recovery Services has elected four officers to its board of directors: Kimberly Simoni, program manager at Agilent Technologies, president; Katee Ptak servicing utility at Provident Funding, vice president; Neil Martin, marketing manager at Agilent, treasurer; and Janna Patee, retired director of publications for Sybase, secretary. The Santa Rosa nonprofit provides residential substance abuse treatment for women.
