Russian River Valley wines featured at 18th annual Grape to Glass event

Wine lovers will want to jump on this Saturday's Grape to Glass event in Windsor. It begins at 4 p.m. at Richard's Grove and Saralee's Vineyard, 3575 Slusser Road, and the price is $85.

Organizers will showcase 50 Russian River Valley wineries and growers pouring wines. There will also be small bites provided by local restaurants and food purveyors. SANTA ROSA: Siduri, Novy Wines offer sneak peek

Siduri and Novy Wines will celebrate the 18th annual Grape to Glass event with a preview tasting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Siduri Wines.

Those attending this year's Grape to Glass dinner and auction are invited to stop by the warehouse winery to enjoy wines from the Russian River Valley.

Siduri produces single-vineyard pinot noir from California and Oregon, while Novy produces single-vineyard syrah, zinfandel, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and other varietals.

The event is free. 981-E Airway Court.

SANTA ROSA: Jewish Food Fest is Sunday's hot ticket

Schlep yourself over to the Jewish Food Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Congregation Shomrei Torah. Among the ethnic delicacies served will be latkes with applesauce and sour cream, honey cake, cheesecake, rugalach, challah, corned beef sandwiches, bagels, cream cheese and lox, chocolate egg creams and noodle kugel.

Rounding out the cultural feast will be live music, a “Jewish Mother” fortune teller and kids' activities. Rabbi George Gittleman and Rabbi Stephanie Kramer will give tours of the synagogue.

Due to popular demand, attendance is limited. To reserve a place, go to srjewishfoodfest.com. Adults pay $5; free for kids 12 and under. Free parking at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, with shuttle service to the synagogue at 2600 Bennett Valley Road.

GLEN ELLEN: Jack London park marks wine history

Jack London State Historic Park will host its inaugural Wine History Tour at 10 a.m. Saturday at the park in Glen Ellen.
